Hingham Resident Signs with New England Revolution Unified Team

Aaron Allen will sign a contract with the New England Revolution's Unified Team, which will feature seven Special Olympics MA athletes.

From Elevate Com: A dream will come true for Hingham resident Aaron Allen, as he will be signing a contract with the New England Revolution’s Unified team today, May 23. The Unified team will feature seven Special Olympics Massachusetts athletes between the ages of 19 and 39 with and without intellectual disabilities, Unified partners, and volunteer coaches. After singing their contacts, players will prepare for two Unified matches against the Chicago Fire's Unified team from Special Olympics Illinois. Fellow Hingham resident Ashtin Burbank will also be participating as a volunteer with the Unified team.

The formation of this team comes as part of a broader goal of the New England Revolution and Special Olympics Massachusetts to promote an environment of inclusion and friendly competition. This signing will kick off a full summer event series, including the 3rd annual Bowl for a Goal - the New England Revolution Charitable Foundation's charitable bowling event presented by Arbella Insurance that is set to take place on Wednesday, July 26 at Splitsville Luxury Lanes in Patriot Place.
