Hingham Schools Recovery Response Advisory Committee Survey
Parents and guardians are asked to fill out a survey to help the district develop a back-to-school plan amid the coronavirus crisis.
HINGHAM, MA — Hingham Superintendent of Schools Paul Austin is asking for parents and guardians of students in Hingham Public Schools to fill out a survey that will help guide the Recovery Response Advisory Committee.
The HPS School Reopening Family Survey is due July 21.
Austin said the committee planning three fall reopening scenarios: in-person instruction with appropriate health and safety modifications, hybrid instruction and fully remote learning.

"While maximizing capacity for in-person instruction with appropriate health and safety modifications is our guiding principle, we recognize that our district must prepare to seamlessly transition between in-person, hybrid and remote learning scenarios as health data and local conditions warrant," Austin said. "We are also actively planning accommodations for those students in high risk groups for whom in-person instruction may prove challenging."
Austin said the town is "actively planning for significantly enhanced remote learning."

The preliminary plan summary is due to the state on July 31 with a final plan due on Aug. 10.
