Hingham Storm Center: 2 Feet Of Snow? NWS Says It Might Happen

The National Weather Service also issued a coastal flood warning.

HINGHAM, MA — Here we go again, for the third time actually. Snow will begin late Monday night and persist for as long as 24 hours in parts of the state, making for an almost impossible Tuesday morning commute. Still, forecasters are hoping this storm brings less widespread power outages than the last two.

The latest bundle of snow means that the National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning from 11 p.m. Monday night to 8 p.m. Tuesday. During this time, total snow accumulations of 10 to 15 inches, with localized amounts up to 18 inches, are expected, according to the NWS.

The area can expect blizzard conditions, whiteouts, and wind gusts that could hit 65 mph, the NWS said.
