Hingham Veterans Services Warn Of Solicitations

HINGHAM, MA — Hingham Veterans Services are alerting residents that it is not associated with an organization contacting those in the community asking for donations to be taped in an envelope to the front door.

Hingham Veterans Services said the group Vietnam Veterans of Massachusetts does not donate directly back to Hingham veterans. While the organization is legitimate, the group said a portion of the money gets donated back to veterans groups, and those donations do not support Hingham Veterans Services.

"If you would like to make a donation to veterans, please contact Hingham Veterans Services (directly)," the group said in an online post.
