HULL, MA — The Hull Superintendent of Schools has taken a leave of absence and has been relieved of his duties amid an Hull School Committee investigation into personal misconduct. The School Committee announced the leave on Monday ahead of an executive session set for Wednesday where Devine's status will be reviewed.
A School Committee statement said allegations of recent personal misconduct were brought to them involving Devine. They said an independent outside investigator has been retained to conduct an administrative review of the facts and circumstances around the allegations, and any possible policy violations.
The statement said Hull police have been notified of the matter and the school district's outside labor relations legal counsel has been consulted.
