Massachusetts Bomb Cyclone: Hingham Ferry Canceled

There will be no ferry service from Hingham to Boston Friday.

HINGHAM, MA — Don't expect to take the ferry to Boston Friday. In fact, it would be wise to stay away from anywhere near water.

The MBTA announced Tuesday that all Hingham ferry service Friday has been suspended due to expected strong winds. Capacity on the Greenbush Line will be increased to assist passengers.

The high winds will make it extremely difficult for any boats to be on the water. The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning from 10 a.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday. The NWS says to expect winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.
