Miranda Lambert Donates To Scituate Animal Shelter

SCITUATE, MA — For a limited time, South Shore residents can adopt a new fury friend without paying any adoption fees thanks to the donation of a famous country singer. Miranda Lambert's MuttNation Foundation presented the Scituate Animal Shelter with a donation, and because of Lambert's generosity, the shelter said it can afford to waive all pet adoption fees until July 19.

The shelter said the donation couldn't have come at a better time because summer is typically the shelter's slowest time of year.

"Summer is the slowest time for adoptions and we have a shelter that is absolutely full," Scituate Animal Shelter said in a statement on Facebook. "Our pets are hoping against hope that you will come and take them home! Please come meet your new best friend today."
