Santa Claus Is Taking Helicopter To Hingham For Outreach Event

HINGHAM, MA — Santa is coming to The Range Bar & Grille to fill Hingham families with Christmas spirit along with members of the Hingham Police and Fire Departments. The third annual community outreach event will start at 2 p.m. on Dec. 14 with free admission.

The event includes a demonstration from the Hingham K-9 unit, a Hingham public safety touch-a-truck display and Santa's arrival on a helicopter. In addition to hosting this event, the Range Bar & Grill is donating to the Hingham Police/Fire Community Outreach Fund to support the Junior Public Safety Academy. The academy is a free, week-long summer program for kids that focuses on bike, water, outdoor, fire and boating safety.

Donation baskets will be available at the event for anyone that wants to contribute. Families are invited to enjoy complimentary cookies, hot cocoa and coffee provided by The Range.

"The holiday season is an exciting time of year for kids and families so we are glad that we can provide a free fun event for everyone to enjoy that also benefits our hardworking Police and Fire departments," said Will O'Connell, Co-Owner of The Range, along with Jim Bristol. "We appreciate the support of the Hingham community all year long at the restaurant, so we want to show our gratitude by giving back."
