Seven Interview For Hingham HS Athletic Director Position

HINGHAM, MA — The Hingham High School athletic director search is down to seven candidates, according to Superintendent Dorothy Galo.

Galo told the school committee last week that the search committee is conducting interviews and will be done by July 25 at the latest. Eight candidates were originally picked, but one withdrew from consideration.

In total, 90 people applied for the job, Galo said.

Three to five candidates will be selected for semi-finalist interviews. Afterward, a finalist or finalists will be invited to an open event and tour of the high school. They will have the opportunity to meet with the public, say a few words and take questions. If there are two or more finalists, the visits will be staggered.

A decision will be made shortly after the open house.
