Town Budget Hearings, Evening with Author James Conroy

1. The Advisory Committee meets at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. The agenda primarily consists of budget hearings.

2. The Historic Districts Commission also meets at Town Hall, at 6:30 p.m. See the complete agenda here.

3. Hingham Public Library hosts "An Evening with the Author: James Conroy" from 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. in the Whiton Room. 

"James B. Conroy discusses his about-to-be-released book on a little-known piece Civil War history:  Our One Common Country: Abraham Lincoln and the Hampton Roads Peace Conference of 1865.

"A free event presented in partnership with Buttonwood Books of Cohasset, whose staff will have copies of the book for sale and author signing."

4. In Hingham you're in store for a slight chance of showers after 10 a.m. and a high of 42 degrees Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. Thursday night chance of rain mixing with snow after 8 p.m.
