The Town vaccinated 160 people as part of a clinic held Thursday, Feb. 4th at the South Shore Baptist Church on Main Street. Members of the Hingham Fire Department administered the vaccine doses.

In addition to residents 75 and over who are now eligible to receive the vaccine as part of Phase 2 of the state's distribution plan, the clinic was also open to those eligible to receive the vaccine as part of Phase 1.

Those who live or work in Hingham and are eligible to receive the vaccine are still able to pre-register with the Town by completing this form. The form will allow people to be put on a waiting list for future clinics. As the Town of Hingham is limited by the number of vaccines it receives from the state Department of Public Health, the Town will vaccinate people on a first-come, first-served basis.

“We are excited to begin vaccinating eligible individuals who live and work in town, and will continue to administer the vaccine as much as we are able to based on the amount we receive,” said Hingham Executive Health Officer Susan Sarni. “We encourage everyone to stay up to date on the vaccine and the latest information regarding distribution and eligibility requirements.” The Town will release details on future vaccination clinics as additional doses are received.
