Trailer For Mark Mark Wahlberg Movie Filmed in Hingham Released

HINGHAM, MA — Coming soon to a theater near you, a movie that may have something that looks familiar.

The trailer for Daddy’s Home 2, which was filmed in Hingham, was released Thursday. The movie stars Mark Wahlberg, Will Ferrell, Linda Cardellini, John Lithgow, Mel Gibson, and West Newbury native John Cena.

Other scenes were filmed in Cambridge, Concord, Quincy, and Wellesley.

In the sequel to the 2015 film, Dusty (Wahlberg) and Brad (Ferrell) have a much better relationship than they did in the original film. Brad, who is married to Dusty’s ex-wife (Cardellini) decide to have a joint Christmas together, which includes Dusty’s dad (Gibson) and Brad’s father (Lithgow).

As evident by the trailer, shenanigans ensue when the dads get together.

No release date has been announced.
