Water Main Break On Bulow Road In Hingham

HINGHAM, MA — A dreary day got more difficult in Hingham Monday morning due to a water main break on Bulow Road. The Hingham Fire Department said late Monday morning there was an estimated four- to six-hour repair time for the break that may cause disruption to some residents in the area.

Aquarion Water said that during and after the outage event, some customers may experience discolored water. You may want to use stored water for drinking and cooking, and delay clothes washing until water is clear. Run your cold water faucet until the water appears clear, prior to resuming use for these purposes.

This is the second water main break in three days in Hingham. On Saturday, customers experienced low water pressure and discolored water after a break on Kilby Street. Crews worked into the night to repair the break and water discoloration continued into Sunday as crews flushed the lines.
