Suspect Arrested After Striking Cruiser In Hingham Chase: PD

HINGHAM, MA — A call that started as a medical emergency/welfare check turned into a police pursuit and crash that closed Whiting Street at Cushing Street and into Weymouth, police said.

According to police, the Thursday afternoon chase led to several cars, including a police cruiser getting struck. No injuries to other drivers or officers were reported.

The driver that police said led the pursuit was arrested and is at the hospital. No name has been released as the incident is still under investigation.
