YMCA of Greater Boston Welcomes Jeff Conway to General Board
Hingham Resident Helps to Further the Nonprofit's Mission to Foster Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility

BOSTON, Mass. – The YMCA of Greater Boston is pleased to announce that Jeff Conway, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Delivery and Business Transformation at State Street, will be returning as a member of its General Board.
Conway, a resident of Hingham, brings more than 30 years of experience in business operations and systems optimization. At State Street, he is responsible for achieving greater standardization, creating uniform operations across State Street locations worldwide, including Centres of Excellence in China, India and Poland, and joint venture partners. He is also a member of State Street’s Management Committee, the company’s most senior strategy and policy-making team.

Prior to his current role at State Street, Conway was the chief executive officer of State Street EMEA and prior to that he launched and led Global Exchange, State Street’s first stand-alone global data and analytics division. Outside of work, Conway also serves on the Board of Directors for HomeStart and Board of Directors of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He also served previously for 10 years on the Y’s General Board followed by three years on the nonprofit’s Board of Overseers.

“State Street has been a long-time supporter for the Y’s Training, Inc. program, which helps individuals gain employment through education and workforce development,” says YMCA of Greater Boston President and CEO James Morton. “We are thrilled to have Jeff back on board to further our commitment to address some of our most complex social and economic issues.”
YMCA of Greater Boston board members commit to serving the organization over the course of three years. As a board member, Conway will help to govern and lead the more than 160-year-old institution and ensure that the Y delivers on its mission to strengthen the foundations of community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
