4-Alarm Fire Destroys Home Under Construction In Somerville
A home being built on Morrison Avenue collapsed after it caught fire Saturday afternoon, the fire department said.
SOMERVILLE, MA — Firefighters battled a four-alarm blaze in Somerville Saturday afternoon.
Crews were called to a home under construction on the 100 block of Morrison Avenue shortly after 12 p.m. and found the building engulfed in flames, the Somerville Fire Department said.
The fire was upgraded to four alarms as firefighters worked to bring the main body under control and prevent flames from spreading to neighboring buildings, the department said.

The building where the fire originated collapsed. One firefighter was injured and six people were displaced, Boston 25 reported.
Crews from Medford, Malden, Cambridge and Belmont provided assistance at the scene.
