Bluebikes Offering Free Rides For Vaccine Appointments Monday
Massachusetts residents can now take advantage of free Bluebike Rides to COVID-19 vaccination appointments.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Massachusetts residents can now take advantage of free Bluebike Rides to COVID-19 vaccination appointments.
The free rides are sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield in an effort to improve access to vaccine appointments across the state.
Residents are eligible for two complimentary Bluebikes Adventure Pass rides, which are available in the following areas:

- Arlington
- Boston
- Brookline
- Cambridge
- Chelsea
- Everett
- Newton
- Revere
- Somerville
- Watertown
To take advantage of this offer, residents may download the Bluebikes app and use the vaccination codes "BLUEVAX1" and "BLUEVAX2." Each code will unlock on free Adventure Pass beginning Monday, and includes free unlimited two-hour rides for a 24-hour period.
Beginning April 26, bike valets will be available at Bluebikes stations near the mass vaccination sites at the Hynes Convention Center and the Reggie Lewis Center.

"Bluebikes is an important part of our public transportation system in Boston, particularly during the pandemic," said Boston Mayor Kim Janey in a prepared statement. "We're grateful for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts' support in encouraging every Bostonian to get vaccinated."
