Ensemble Cast Brings Somerville's Premiere On Broadway To Life

The Italian restaurant and cocktail bar was built and designed by Charlie and Debbie Zammuto with their children Koryn, Dominic and Gigi.

SOMERVILLE, MA — An upcoming restaurant and cocktail bar on Broadway puts a showbiz spin on Italian classics. An ensemble cast of Zammutos – mom and dad Charlie and Debbie, and kids Koryn, Dominic and Gigi – is putting the finishing touches on Premiere on Broadway ahead of its expected opening in July.

The family designed and built the 10,000-square-foot space, which features portraits of stars like Mick Jagger, Jimi Hendrix, Amy Winehouse and Audrey Hepburn that were painted by the Zammuto patriarch.

The restaurant has seating for 400 customers inside, including a 70-person bar, and 100 people outdoors. Keeping with the Broadway motif, there's a 60-square-foot stage, which will feature local acts as well as young musicians from the School of Rock.

The Zammutos, a fifth-generation Somerville family, own the apartment complex in which the restaurant is located. They've enlisted Dan Bazzinotti, former executive chef of Eataly, and Beehive alum Martin Fernandez behind the bar to offer signature Italian dishes and cocktails garnished with fruit from local farms.

The address for Premiere on Broadway is 519 Broadway.
