Esquire Magazine Says 'We Can't Afford To Lose' Somerville Eatery
A Somerville spot was named among the magazine's list of "100 Restaurants America Can't Afford To Lose" during the pandemic.
SOMERVILLE, MA — Five Massachusetts restaurants landed on Esquire's list of "100 Restaurants America Can't Afford To Lose," including one Somerville spot.
The magazine's list is a reflection of the times – the coronavirus pandemic has decimated the restaurant industry, as wary customers stay away from indoor dining and government restrictions limit seating capacity.
The Massachusetts Restaurant Association estimated last month that a quarter of the state's restaurants have closed. Many residents' favorite spots have been forced to shut down, and Esquire writers made their own nationwide list of restaurants they'd hate to lose.

Somerville eatery Celeste was highlighted by the publication, which described it as "alchemy of menu, mixtapes, and merrymaking that satiates a deeper kind of hungry."
