Hot Off the T: 5 Things To Do in Boston This Weekend

Weird Al Yankovic; South End house tour; and a book festival.

(All events are in walking distance from stops on the MBTA.)

1.) :  The South End Historical Society's 43rd annual self-guided walking tour of some of this neighborhood's best homes. On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $25
Take the Orange Line to Back Bay Station and walk 10 minutes to the Boston Center for the Arts lobby at 539 Tremont St. Or, take the Red Line to the Orange Line and follow the directions above.

2.) WEIRD AL YANKOVIC: The master of satirical musical shlock plays the Orpheum, Saturday at 8 p.m.
Take the Orange Line to Downtown Crossing Station and walk 2 minutes to the theaterOr, take the Red Line to Downtown Crossing and follow the directions above.

3.) Old South Meeting House will host a celebration to commemorate the raising of an historic bell, made by Paul Revere in 1801, to its clock tower. Sunday at 1 p.m. Free.
Take the Orange Line or Red Line to Downtown Crossing and walk 3 minutes to Old South Meeting House.

4.) BOSTON BOOK FESTIVAL: Authors, workshops, live music, booksellers, activities and presentations for children, and delicious food. On Saturday at Copley Square. Free, but reservations are suggested for some events.
Take the Orange Line to Back Bay Station and walk 3 minutes to Copley Square. Or, take the Red Line to the Green Line and get off at Copley Station. Copley Square is just outside the station.

5.) MIDDLE EAST PLAY"Speaker's Progress" is a play put on by a major middle eastern theater company. It's described as using "Twelfth Night to explore events in the Middle East." At Emerson's Paramount Theater, Saturday, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
