It's...a Summer Cosplay Celebration!

Anime/manga, video games, cosplay and live dance performance for everyone!

This summer, Penumbra:Exchange is proud to present the first ever Summer Cosplay Celebration in Somerville, MA! Bringing together lovers of anime/manga and video games with live dance performance, this all-ages event encourages everyone to dress up in their finest cosplay outfits or simply kick back to enjoy the show with a cold drink.

Using an informal setting, attendees will have the chance to mingle for an hour before some of Boston’s most dynamic dance companies and choreographers perform works inspired by classic favorites and the latest in anime, manga, and video games. Get ready to see everything from an all-Japanese children’s troupe, an interactive duet using the Wii console and Unity game engine, a dance about video games created by high schoolers, hip-hop comedy, interactive improvisational movement, and lots more!

The venue is the Arts at the Armory building at 191 Highland Ave, Somerville, MA on the 88 and 90 bus lines with parking in the back. Doors open at 6:30pm with live performances at 7:30pm. Cosplayers who arrive in costume are automatically entered into a raffle around 8:30pm for prizes from Demiurge Studios, 1dash1, artist Eliot Min, and more! Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids. For more information and online ticket sales, please visit us at http://www.cosplaycelebration.com/ or follow us on Twitter: @cosplay_dance
