Kindergarten Concert, the Business of Art

Five things to know and do in Somerville on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013.

1) Capuano Early Childhood Kindergarten Concert
Kindergarten classes will be performing at the Capuano Early Childhood Center, 150 Glen St. The concert is at 9:15 a.m.

2) Turkeys for Patients in Need
Taking a look back at Thanksgiving, Shaw's Supermarket at Twin City Plaza donated 30 turkeys, cooked with all the fixin's, to the Cambridge Health Alliance, which distributed them to patients in the Elder Service Plan. The turkeys were supplied by small donations made by customers at the register.

3) Keeping the Books: The How, The Why and The When
As part of the "Art of Business and Business of Art" workshop series, today's lecture will explore "what it takes to run, open, and grow your business as an artist or maker." The talk is free, and it's at 7 p.m. at Artisan's Asylum, 10 Tyler St.

4) West Somerville Neighborhood School Holiday Craft and Vendor Show
More than 40 artists, crafters and vendors will be at the West Somerville Neighborhood School tonight at 6 p.m. It's at 177 Powderhouse Boulevard.

5) Weather
