Obituary: Elisabetta (Lorello) Camelio, Of Somerville
Elisabetta came to the U.S. from Italy in 1971, settling first in Cambridge before moving to Somerville 35 years ago.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Elisabetta (Lorello) Camelio of Somerville died on Wednesday, March 21. Born and raised in Itri, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Raffaele and Olimpia (Del Bove) Lorello. Elisabetta came to the U.S. in 1971, settling first in Cambridge before moving to Somerville 35 years ago.
Elisabetta was the beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Camelio, the devoted mother of Maria Camelio of Italy and her late husband Pietro, and Virginia Sorabella and her husband Bruno of Somerville. She was the loving grandmother of Erminia Mitrano of Italy, Rita DiTucci and her husband Ray of Medford, Sonia Swift and her husband Michael of Woburn, and Lino Sorabella and his wife Crystal of Woburn. Elisabetta was the loving great grandmother of Rebecca, Alison and Roberto DiTucci, Pierluigi Volpi, and Matthew and Katie Swift, and the dear sister of Felice, Valerio and Maria of Italy. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, on Saturday, March 24 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford from 8:30 through 10:30 AM. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
