Olympians and Elite Runners Race in Somerville Friday

SOMERVILLE, MA - The world's elite middle and long distance runners, including athletes from the upcoming Olympics in Rio, will be racing Friday night in Somerville at Dilboy Stadium.

The first session of the adidas Boost Boston Games will be held at Dilboy Memorial Stadium, on Alewife Brook Parkway in Somerville, a release said. Friday night's event will feature Olympic and World Champions at distances from 400 meters to 5000 meters, in addition to youth and club races and the prestigious Adidas Dream Mile for both boys and girls, showcasing the best high school milers in America, a release said.

Bleachers are available but fans are welcome to stand trackside to cheer on many of the same athletes they’ll be watching this summer in Rio, a release said. Admission is $10, and includes a post-race barbecue and autograph session. Concessions will also be available for purchase during the meet.
