SOMERVILLE, MA - Ward 1 Alderman Matthew McLaughlin and other members of the community want Otis Park to be renamed in honor of unsolved murder victim Deanna Cremin, the Somerville Times reported.
Cremin was found strangled and possibly sexually assaulted in Somerville back in 1995, according to the Boston Globe.
McLaughlin sponsored the resolution to name the park after Cremin at a regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen last Thursday, the Somerville Times reported.

"We discovered that Otis Park is not named after anyone, it is named after the street, basically. So I would love to see this happen," he said, according to the Somerville Times.
