Popular Somerville Pizzeria to Close

Somerville’s Area Four Pizza is closing its doors for good.

The pizzeria first closed back in August following electrical problems. The situation still has not been rectified. Eversource cut the power to the building due to an unspecified issue.

“I’m very sad and heartbroken to do this,” owner Michael Krupp told the Boston Globe.

Krupp considered the Somerville Ave. location as a “very special place.”

He has another Area Four restaurant in Kendall Square and hopes to build another one in Boston’s South End section.
