The popular cat visited the church every day, inspiring a stuffed animal and an app called "Prince's Prowl" where tourists can navigate the church grounds with Prince as their guide, according to his obituary.
"The Old North Church laments the death of staff member Prince. Prince would come to work everyday, greet our visitors warmly, and occasionally startle those on a Behind the Scenes Tour when he would pop out of the open tomb in the basement," Stephen Ayers, executive director of the Old North Foundation, wrote on social media.

"Prince Postale and the North End will never be the same without him and he is already greatly missed," Prince's obituary read.
Old North will host a memorial service for Prince on Tuesday, March 29 at 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend and share stories, Ayers announced on social media.
