SOMERVILLE, MA — A that fire damaged a multi-family home on Temple Street in Somerville Friday, displacing eight rekindled Saturday, according to police scanner radio.

Saturday morning firefighters were called for a report of smoke coming from the eaves.

The tripple decker was built in 1910 and the property was last accessed at $1.3 million, according to city records.

Assistant Fire Chief Chris Major told WCBV that the fire began in the rear near the top, but there was water damage from fighting the fire throughout.

All three apartments were affected, leaving several people homeless, according to multiple reports.
