Shoplifting Suspect Gets Shirt Ripped Off by Kmart Security
Police caught the shirtless suspect after they saw his legs sticking out from underneath a tarp at a nearby construction site, reports said.

SOMERVILLE, MA - Police arrested an alleged shoplifter after a foot pursuit that almost resulted in the suspect getting hit by a car, the Somerville Journal reported.
David Ghiozzi, of Lynn, allegedly swiped $249 worth of electronics from the Kmart on 77 Middlesex Ave. and fought with security as he tried to escape Sunday, the Somerville Journal reported.
A security guard reportedly ripped off Ghiozzi's shirt during the scuffle.

Witnesses said the suspect fled towards Canal Street with a man in pursuit. One witness said he had to slam on his car brakes as the suspect bolted across the street, the Somerville Journal reported.
A security officer told police he had chased the suspect into a construction site, the Somerville Journal reported. Police discovered Ghiozzi when they saw his legs sticking out from underneath a pile of insulation and a tarp, according the Somerville Journal.

Ghiozzi was charged with assault and battery, disturbing the peace and shoplifting, the Somerville Journal reported.
