Snow Emergency Ends at 8 P.M., Schools Open Wednesday
Somerville's snow emergency will end Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. and schools will be open on Wednesday, Feb. 13. Residents have until 10 p.m. to move their cars from municipal lots.

Somerville is finally getting back to normal after the Blizzard of '13.
The snow emergency will be lifted as of 8 p.m. on Tuesday, the city announced in an email, and Somerville Public Schools will be in session on Wednesday, Feb. 13.
If you parked your car in a municipal lot due to the snow emergency, you have until 10 p.m. on Tuesday night to move your car so plows can clear snow from the lots.

The city also reminds residents that while parking on the even side of the street will be allowed after the parking ban is lifted, the law requires at least 10 feet of passage for emergency vehicles.
So take care on those side roads that might still be narrow due to snow banks on either side—you could get a ticket or towed without that 10 feet of passage.
