Somerville High School Meeting: Only 1 Resident Shows Up

The school is in danger of losing its accreditation and action needs to be taken.

SOMERVILLE, MA - Century-old Somerville High School is falling apart and is in danger of losing its accreditation but only one lonely resident attended Tuesday's High School Building Committee meeting, the Somerville Journal reported.

The meeting was held in four different languages and members of the High School Building Committee discussed the three final solutions for the school to an auditorium full of empty seats at East Somerville Community School, the Somerville Journal reported

The committee will be submitting its tentative project schematic design to the Massachusetts School Building Authority in early June and residents are encouraged to speak up and provide input before it's too late, the Somerville Journal reported.
