Somerville To Honor 14 Veterans This Weekend
The Somerville Heroes Salute will recognize 14 local veterans ahead of Veterans Day.
SOMERVILLE, MA — The Somerville Heroes Salute this weekend will honor eight World War II veterans, two Vietnam veterans, this year's Somerville Police and Fire Veterans of the Year and the city's first inductee to the Iraq/Afghanistan Hall of Fame.
Bishop Henry Moultrie II is the recipient of this years Somerville Profile of Courage Award. A Vietnam veteran, Moultrie recently retired after 45 years as the pastor and founder of the Mission Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Heroes Salute will take place Saturday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. at the Holiday Inn, 30 Washington St. If you’re interested in attending, please RSVP with Veterans’ Services at 617-625-6600 ext. 4700.

On Monday, the Dilboy VFW Post 529 will host its annual Veterans Day Ceremony. The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. at 351 Summer St.
