SOMERVILLE, MA - A shoplifting suspect confirmed to police that his alleged co-conspirator stole a water heater and two drills from Home Depot in Assembly Square, police said.
Store security recognized Tyshawn Taylor, 40, of Dorchester, and Mark Knight, 46, of Randolph, from an internal store bulletin regarding repeat shoplifters, police said.
“Knight was trying to distract the sales associate at the door by doing a sales return and acting in an over-exaggerated manner. After Mr. Taylor left the store with the stolen merchandise, Mr. Knight stated to the sales clerk: never mind, I am all set,” according to a police report.
