Eight to 12 inches of accumulating snow is expected from this system.

The snow will overspread the area Monday morning from 4-7 a.m., then becomes heavy at times after 8 a.m. and continues into the early afternoon. The snow intensity begins to diminish by mid afternoon. Winds will be from the north at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

Officials say travel will be slow at best on well-treated surfaces and difficult on any unplowed or untreated surfaces. Drivers can expect visibilities of a quarter mile or less at times.
