Somerville Snow: Weekend Storm Seemingly Losing Steam

Somerville may not receive as much snow as originally predicted.

SOMERVILLE, MA—It seems as if the snow storm heading for the region has lost a bit of steam.

Somerville was originally projected to receive approximately five to eight inches of snow on Saturday into Sunday, but now it seems like the city will likely be hit with less. The majority of the snow is also projected to come on Sunday morning, as opposed to Saturday.

Somerville’s forecast (as of 2 p.m. on Wednesday) calls for cloudy skies early on Saturday, with snow showers developing in the afternoon. Saturday’s high of 31 will be accompanied by gusts of 20 to 30 miles per hour and a 30 percent chance of snow.
