Somerville Teen Prevented Worse Fire Damage: Officials

Officials said the youth's quick thinking and emergency call prevented worse damage.

SOMERVILLE, MA - Somerville police and fire officials thanked a city teen today for his quick response to a devastating fire on Rush Street that could have been worse if not for his quick thinking. Police Chief David Fallon was on hand to commend the youth, an East Somerville Community School student. Officials said the youth's quick thinking and emergency call prevented worse damage from the fire last month.
