Somerville Urban Agriculture Ambassador Applications Open
The deadline to apply is March 1.

SOMERVILLE, MA – The following is an announcement from the city of Somerville.
The City of Somerville’s Urban Agriculture Ambassador Program (UAAP) is now accepting applications for the 2018 class. The UAAP, which is taught by Somerville-based Green City Growers, offers free training around urban growing techniques to 20 residents each year in exchange for 30 hours of volunteer service in garden projects throughout the city.
Applicants must be Somerville residents who are at least 16 years old and are required to attend four intensive Saturday workshops from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (March 24, March 31, April 7, and April 14). The program is designed for beginning to intermediate gardeners.
