Security at the mall reportedly witnessed Brown exit the grounds with bags filled with stolen goods, prompting a call to police. They say she then returned to the mall with the bags empty.

Police apprehended Brown with a bag loaded with items stolen from Chico’s, officials said. Brown admitted to the thefts. Police then searched her vehicle and uncovered many other bags, but Brown claimed the car was not hers. Police did not search the car.

Brown will return to court on Dec. 15.
