Local is for Lovers Holiday Market
This market, run by Somerville Local First, is the perfect place to pick up some last-minute Christmas presents. There will be about 33 local vendors and organizations there, along with live music, a photo booth, caricature drawing, a giant play space and beer tasting from Slumbrew. It's from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.on Sunday.
4th Annual SLAM Holiday Artist Market
Shop for art, jewelry, crafts, photographs and other goodies at the last SLAM Holiday Artist Market before Christmas. It's Saturday at The Burren in Davis Square from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Christmas Carols by the Greek Youth Chorus
The youth choir from the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church will be singing at various locations throughout Somerville on Saturday. The choir will start at Stop & Shop in West Somerville at 1 p.m., and it will move every 45 minutes or so to a different location: to McKinnons Meat Market (1:40 p.m.), The Somerville Home at 117 Summer St. (2:30 p.m.), Market Basket (3:15 p.m.), the Jean Jugan Residence at 186 Highland Ave. (4 p.m.), Ball Square Fine Wines & Liquors (5 p.m.) and Daddy Jones (5:40 p.m.). If you're out and about in Somerville on Saturday, you may run into them. Or, you can be a groupie and follow them around.
Orange Leaf One Year
To celebrate the first year of Orange Leaf in Davis Square, stop by Saturday for some fun. Santa Claus will be there from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and KISS 108 FM will be there from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will also be face painting and a toy drive.
Slutcracker
There are only a few performances of the Slutcracker left, so if you want to see the bawdy Christmas show, check out showtimes and ticket information at the Slutcracker's website.
Winter Farmers Market
The Somerville Winter Farmers Market is on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Center for Arts at the Armory.
