Union Square at Work: Last Chance to See Exhibit

If you haven't already, come experience the "fabric" of Somerville in the final days of the Somerville Museum exhibit.

SOMERVILLE, MA - "Union Square at Work" at the Somerville Museum closes on Saturday at 5 p.m.

The community-oriented exhibit features photographs and stories from local Somerville businesses including the tattoo parlor, puppeteer and halal butcher.

There are also historical pictures on display from "the days when Somerville was a meat-packing capital and the Miller's River flowed through Boynton Yards."

"The show reveals the fabric of a neighborhood in this All-American City, with themes of entrepreneurship, immigration, family-run companies, redevelopment, and the many ways people bring creativity into their work," the museum wrote.

A playlist of 20 songs by 20 Union Square musicians really sets the mood for the unique celebration of the Somerville community.

On Thursday, March 24th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. there will be a goodbye party. Refreshments will be served!
