Vehicle In Somerville Hit-And-Run Has Unique Features, Police Say
State police said the van that fled the scene after hitting a pedestrian on McGrath Highway stands out among other vehicles of its model.
SOMERVILLE, MA — State police continue to search for the driver who fled the scene after hitting a pedestrian on McGrath Highway Monday night.
Police posted images of the suspect vehicle, a white 2014-2021 Ford Transit Connect. The van stands out from other vehicles of its model because of the number of side windows and the large sunroof, police said.
"These vans are usually outfitted as utility vehicles without side windows or a sunroof," a state police spokesperson wrote in an email. "The vehicle will most likely have damage to the driver side headlight area (bumper, hood, and/or fender)."
