VIDEO: Man Falls Off Platform, Onto Tracks at Orange Line Station

The Boston Globe reports he was rescued well before a train could hit him.

North Station Orange Line services halted for almost 30 minutes on Tuesday morning when an unnamed man fell on the tracks, according to a report from the Boston Globe.

Security camera footage of the incident has manifest of YouTube, and is viewable below.

Luckily, the individual did not touch the electrified third rail, and the source’s email from MBTA spokesman Joseph Pesaturo explains that there wasn’t a train anywhere near close enough to put the individual in danger of getting run over.

The man was removed from the pit at around 10:30 a.m., and taken to a hospital.
