ICYMI: Winter Weather Parking Information for Somerville
In case you missed it yesterday, here is some information you need to know about parking in Somerville during the winter.

With winter weather afoot, parking is likely to become a hassle for Somerville residents. Although the chances of the city calling for a snow emergency on Tuesday are low, Somerville residents should be aware of the city’s parking laws when Old Man Winter comes to town and a snow emergency is called.
Parking is only allowed on the odd-numbered side of the street. Municipal and school parking lots will be available to residents in the event of a snow emergency. The even-numbered side of the street will remain open to allow plows to clear the roads.

- Failure to move car to proper side of the street: $100
- Tow zone/obstructing a plow: $100 (imposed by towing company)
- Parked within ten feet of a fire hydrant or in a designated fire lane: $100
- Parked within 20 feet of an intersection(state law): $100
