2 More Wayland Restaurants Up For Outdoor Seating Approval
The Board of Selectmen will take up the applications at a meeting set for Wednesday.
WAYLAND, MA — Wayland residents may soon have more sit-down dining options to choose from. Two more restaurants are seeking approval to provide outdoor service following statewide coronavirus closures.
China Rose, 15 East Plain St., and X-Golf Wayland, 60 Andrew Ave., will go before the Board of Selectmen on Wednesday to get approval.
Restaurants across Massachusetts were allowed to begin offering outdoor dining the week of June 8 under phase two of Gov. Charlie Baker's post-coronavirus reopening plan. Restaurants across the state had been restricted to takeout and delivery since March.

Part two of phase two began on June 22, allowing restaurants that offer outdoor dining to offer indoor dining. Indoor dining must be done under new rules: tables have to be six feet apart, parties cannot exceed six people, and bars must remain closed.
Wayland has already granted outdoor dining approvals for The Local, Giacomo's and the Dudley Château.
