Band Concerts Celebrate DPA’s 50th Year

Working Still and the Dirty Water Brass Band serenaded hundreds around Dudley Pond.

On a beautiful Saturday, July 28, Dudley Pond was alive with music. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Dudley Pond Association, local bands, Working Still and the Dirty Water Brass Band serenaded hundreds around Dudley Pond.

Working Still, a musical trio of DPA member Steve Robb, together with Mike Anctil and Tim Eskey performed at 3 PM on Lake Shore Drive hosted by Glenn and Elaine Snyder. At 4 PM, Dirty Water Brass Band on 2 pontoon boats circumnavigated Dudley Pond. DPA Treasurer, Jamie Pierce plays Tenor Saxophone for the Band. Dirty Water has a particular penchant for playing outdoors and has participated in the DPA’s annual Band on a Boat for a number of years.

This year, a special stop was made at the Salitsky home on Bayfield Road. Guitarist, Bob Salitsky hopped aboard and joined the brass for an impromptu tune.
