Boaters Fail to Stay Off Dudley Pond Despite Warnings
Three or four fishing boats were spotted on the pond following Thursday's herbicide treatment.

WAYLAND, MA - SOLitude arrived at Dudley Pond with an airboat and herbicide on Thursday to fight off the Eurasian Water Milfoil, an invasive aquatic plant, the Wayland Surface Water Quality Committee reported.
The team applied low-release granules (Sonar H4C) with a mechanical spreader and faster release liquid (Sonar Genesis) with hoses below the water line. The treatment took about four hours.
Signs had been posted warning residents and boaters to stay off the pond, but some failed to heed the warnings.
