Car Crash Causes Gas Leak In Wayland

Officials warn drivers to avoid Route 27 and Route 30 as they work to turn the gas off.

WAYLAND, MA — A car accident in Wayland led to a gas leak and the closures of two main commuters routes in town on Tuesday.

Fire officials said a car hit a gas main on a building near Donelan's Market on Commonwealth Road. While crews worked to shut off the gas in the area, Routes 27 and 30 were closed.

No word on if anyone was injured.
