Convert Your LPs (Yes, We Mean Records) to Digital Files and CDs
This program at the Wayland Public Library shows participants how to use technology at the library to convert those old records into files.

WAYLAND, MA — When is the last time you listened to The Carpenters greatest hits, or Sinatra, or the J. Geils Band - whatever you collected back in the day on LP. That's right, albums ... records. Many of you have collections, but don't often break out the turntable to listen to them. You could buy all of these on iTunes or other services, but why not convert what you already own?
On Monday, Dec. 5, Reference Librarian Andy Moore shows you how to use the software program Audacity to convert your LPs to digital files. Burn them onto a disc, upload them onto a portable device, or post them online.
The workshop takes place at the Wayland Public Library from 7-8:30 p.m.
