Edward A. Latorre, 91: 30-Year Wayland Resident, Army Veteran

A memorial mass for Latorre will be held Saturday, Feb. 6 in Weston.

WAYLAND, MA - Edward A. Latorre of Wayland, formerly of Waltham and Watertown, died Monday, February 1, 2016, in The Falls at Cordingly Dam in Newton. He was 91. Mr. Latorre was born in Watertown on May 20, 1924, the only child of the late Domenic and Jennie (Natale) Latorre.

Ed was raised in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School. During World War Two, he served in the U.S. Army.

Ed and his late wife, Shirley T. (Frenette) Latorre had lived in Waltham for many years before moving to Wayland in 1983. He worked at Star Market as a food inspector and enjoyed sports and current events.

Ed is survived by his children, Steven E. Lattore of Amherst, Edward M. Latorre and his spouse, Jackie, of Boca Raton, FL, Jan Latorre-Stiller and her spouse, Mel, of Waltham and Carol A. Latorre and her spouse, Mary, of Sudbury; his grandchildren, Joanna Palazio, Danielle Doming, Olivia, Michael and Gina Latorre and his great grandchildren, Joseph and Jordan Feltis.

Family and friends will honor and remember Ed’s life by gathering for his Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6 in Saint Julia’s Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston.
