Outdoor Fire In Wayland Damages Shed, RV

The fire broke out around 5 a.m. Friday along Folsom Pond Road, according the fire department.

WAYLAND, MA — A shed and an RV were damaged early Friday morning when a fire broke out in Wayland, but no injuries were reported, according to Chief Neil McPherson.

Firefighters responded to 3 Folsom Pond Road just before 5 a.m. They arrived to find the both the shed and the RV fully engulfed by an "intense" fire, McPherson said. The fire was out within about 20 minutes, but firefighters were on scene until around 8 a.m. mopping up.

The cause of the fire was still under investigation as of Friday morning.

Fire crews from Sudbury and Weston also responded to provide mutual aid while Wayland firefighters were busy, according to McPherson.
